Your Instructor: Sandra Mackey

Sandra is a Certified Instructor in several ICISF courses including Peer and Group Invention.  She is the Chair of the Durham Region CISM team and has been a member for over 26 years and received her Certification in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) in 2017 through the University of Baltimore Maryland establishing herself as a professional in areas of peer support, stress management and crisis intervention techniques. She has completed the Workplace Mental Health Certification Program by Queens University and is a PILLAR Peer Support member with the Durham Regional Police Service.   She is a Professional member of the International Organization of Nutrition Consultants and an Honours Graduate in Fitness and Nutrition through the ICS in Montreal, Quebec. Through the (U.I.O.T) University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology she has completed Executive Leadership training in areas of Team Building, Managing Conflict, Leadership Management, Communications and Leadership and Emotional Intelligence.    

Through her years of experience she has been involved in many large scale projects/training opportunities and is adept at presenting to both large and small groups bringing relatable relevant knowledge to the learning experience.    As a firm believer in giving back Sandra is a dedicated volunteer and in 2013 was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal – recognizing significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
